Being able to discover what drove my activities came from the ability to identify the “me” I was living versus the “real me.”

I believe we all have two versions of our self.

There is your self-importance, what I’m calling “me,” and then there is the actual you.

Most people live their lives being controlled by their self-importance, never realizing that there is the actual self, or their more overlooking self.

The higher self is immeasurably more stronger in controlling your thoughts, feelings, and actions.

The actual you can watch as if seeing yourself in a film.

When you put yourself in your higher self, you’re able to find yourself and distinguish the true self from what your ego is feeling.

The actual you looks at your ego and says: “That’s me being mean”;

“That’s me being lonely”; or “There I am feeling completely joyful.”

Once I realized that a higher self lasted inside, I was able to look at the way I lived and say, “There I am working like a lunatic
and making myself suffering because I’m counting for other people’s substantiation to make me feel important.”

The moment I separated myself from my ego and recognized what truly drove my actions was the instant when I finally had the power to make a shift.

Here’s the first tip of solution involving time management.

Stop telling yourself, “There’s just not enough time in the day.” Every time you repeat that statement, you fortify your identity as someone who lacks time.

The often you say things like that, the more you make them solid and end up stuck
in this vicious cycle of lack and scarcity. Essentially—that statement is weak and every time you say it, you make yourself even weaker.

That may sound hurtful, but it’s that cruelness that I had to use with myself.

You see, that seemed to be my daily ritual. Every time I said there’s not enough time in the day, I was shifting blame to something other than myself. I always had an excuse if I didn’t
get everything done.

After all, it wasn’t my fault! It was the fault of time.

Here’s how I changed the situation. Every time I started to think or say to myself, “There’s just not enough time in the day,” I’d turn it around and tell myself, “There’s more than enough time in the day.”

I had to change my internal thoughts as it related to time.

I had to reprogram my subconscious to conceive that I had plenty of time to get everything done.

When I changed my programming, I made a quantum leap in my ability to produce.

Now don’t get me wrong. Are there days when I don’t get everything done I want to do? Of course.

But by switching my internal notions about time, I now stand from a place of mightiness instead of a place of weakness.

The first step is taking responsibility for the fact that there is lot of time every day to do what you want to do. We all have the same number of hours in a day.

Time is not the enemy, your belief about it is.

Are you willing to wait 10 years to increase your pay to $3,000? Learn how SAB can help you earn a minimum of S$3560 per month!

From: http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_549080.html

IN 10 YEARS’ time, an economy with top-quality skills will boost the real median incomes of Singaporeans by 30 per cent from $2,400 to $3,100, Singapore will have more internationally competitive local companies and will be one of the most liveable cities in the world.

‘We think we can raise incomes, raise the wage of the average worker, by one-third in the next 10 years. That means moving from a median wage of about $2,400 today to about $3,100 in 10 years time,’ said Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam at a dialogue at Suntec City on Friday. Accounting for inflation, the figure is $3,800, he added.

Mr Tharman was speaking at the recommendations dialogue for the Economic Strategies Committee, organised by the Singapore Business Federation and attended by 600 businessmen.

He said that the next five to 10 years provide a ‘whole wave of opportunities’ for Singapore to play to its strengths in urban and water management. Singaporean companies can also capitalise on a wave of Asian demand in middle-class services like health, travel, education, entertainment and financial services.

‘It’s useful to ask ourselves where we want to be in 10 years’ time, what is the sort of Singapore we want to see? And I’ll just want to highlight three facets of that Singapore that the ESC thought of as being desirable and essential,’ he said.

First, he said, the ESC wanted to see an economy that has top quality skills to raise incomes for the average Singaporeans by one-third in the next 10 years. To boost wages from $2,400 to $3,100, Singapore needs to become a leading hub in Asia for global businesses and high-value, complex manufacturing, and possess top-notch service standards, he said.

SINGAPOREANS think the Government should bring in foreigners when the economy needs them, but they have concerns about the impact of the workers.

In a survey of 2,016 citizens last year by the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), two out of three respondents said they felt that national unity would be compromised by the presence of foreigners, whether they are here to settle down or are transient workers.

More than 60 per cent of respondents agreed that ‘the policy to attract more foreign talent will weaken Singaporeans’ feeling as one nation, one people’.

This is significantly higher than the 38 per cent of respondents who felt this way in 1998, when the survey question was last posed.

In the survey last year, those most concerned about the impact of foreigners tended to be low-income earners who made less than $2,000 a month, and those living in one-, two- or three-room flats.

Those least concerned about the influx of foreigners were those in the middle- to upper-income brackets, earning $8,000 and above a month and living in private housing.

Do you believe that Singaporeans can retire at the age of 62? Find out the grim statistic and realities before you get caught in the "Can-Never-Retire" group!

From: http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_559266.html

‘WE’VE got to make old people productive and I don’t think there should be a retirement age. You work as long as you can work and you’ll be healthier and happier for it.

‘You ask me to stop working all of a sudden, I think I’d just shrivel up, face the wall and that’s that. But I’m still functioning, if not at the rate at which I was functioning, say, 20 years ago … I have aches and pains, but nothing terminal and I can keep going.

‘I think the Japanese solve it by giving the old people robots and gadgets to work with. So they are still productive. They take less pay.

‘Now this is where, in Singapore, it becomes very painful. You are (a) superior, suddenly your junior overtakes your position and you have less pay and he is the boss. So they find the psychological switch unpleasant.

‘I think we have to develop that approach to life: You’ve reached the maximum you can do at your age in that position, you move sideways and you take less pay and you move gradually to less and less pay because you are moving slower and slower, especially if you are doing physical work.

‘But that’s very hard to get across and many of our workers have preferred retirement and then they die early. If you keep doing what you were doing for almost the whole of your life, the chances are you will stay interested and engaged.

‘There’s something to do tomorrow and you keep going. If you start saying ‘Oh, I’m old’ and you start reading novels or playing golf or playing chess or Scrabble, you’re on your way down.’

-MM Lee, who is 86, when asked for his comments on how an ageing population might affect the push for higher productivity

————————–

We ask you – what are you doing to prevent from this happening to you? In SAB, we believe we can help you earn a minimum of S$3560 per month with NO SELLING! Fill out the contact form to find out more!

This is thanks largely to rising property and stock prices in the past last year, and highlights that the drivers of wealth creation in Singapore are assets owned by the rich.

The report, released on Wednesday, showed that Singapore’s number of millionaires rose 32.7 per cent from an estimated 61,000 in 2008. A millionaire is defined someone with net assets of at least US$1 million, excluding his main residence and everyday possessions.

The latest findings come on the heels of a recent Boston Consulting Group (BCG) study which showed that Singapore added millionaires at a faster rate than anywhere else in the world last year.

A total of 11.4 per cent of households here own more than US$1 million. This works out to around 125,000 millionaire households here at the end of last year, BCG said.

Observers say that the sharp rise is because the well-heeled here invested heavily in stocks and real estate, both of which suffered in the crisis but performed much better last year when economic conditions improved.

The prices of goods and services, as measured by the consumer price index, rose 3.2 per cent in May over the same month a year ago, the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS) said in a release on Wednesday.

Car and petrol prices were the main culprit, pushing up transport costs by a hefty 15 per cent in the 12-month period.

Citigroup economist Kit Wei Zheng attributed this to tighter COE quotas this year compared with last year, which made COE premiums in May ‘two to three times higher than last year’s levels’.

Food prices also rose 1.3 per cent in the year to May while higher electricity and gas prices lifted housing costs by 1.6 per cent.

With the rising costs of living in Singapore, do you have fall-back financial income plan in the event that economy goes into recession again? Find out what do Singaporeans think in a Yahoo! SG poll.

By Elena Torrijos

About two weeks ago, Yahoo! Answers Singapore asked: “Do you think you will be able to retire by 60?” Majority of the 623 who posted replies were quite pessimistic about their prospects. No way, unless one marries rich or wins the Toto, was an oft-cited response.

A good number of posters pointed out that life in the city-state is all about debt – Singaporeans will have to work until they die to pay off their obligations. This perception might be exaggerated, but the argument that debt may hold back retirement at 60 is hard to discount, especially now that prices of HDB flats have risen, and wages haven’t exactly caught up.

“Singaporeans are all ‘paper rich.’ Almost everyone is in debt: Housing, Car, Study, etc…” said one poster that earned agreement from fellow posters. Another poster noted that Singaporeans incur debt starting from the time they study in university to the time they have to buy a house and car.

The increasing cost of living in Singapore is frequently mentioned as a major constraint to achieving retirement goals. “With exorbitant prices of HDB flats… I doubt Singaporeans can even think of retiring,” one poster said. Inflation is high and medical expenses are rising, observed another. A poster said that if Singaporeans went by current estimates of financial planners, he would need to have at least a million dollars to retire at 60.

A fair number thought that retirement at 60 might be possible – if they spend their post-job years in a lower-cost country. “If I take all my money and go abroad I can survive a long time,” asserted one user. Another poster believes Singaporeans with lower incomes will have to “migrate to a third world country” for their retirement. The popular view is that the average-income family cannot enjoy retirement by age 60, believing only the “only the rich can do that.”

Nevertheless, a significant minority said retirement by age 60 is doable, with some posters explaining how they managed to do it through frugal living or key investments.

“Trick is to make your money work hard and not you, work hard,” said one user. Downgrading to a smaller HDB flat will free up funds for retirement was another option mentioned.

Others underscored the importance of lifestyle choices: “I’ve retired at 40…. It’s a lifestyle choice.” “It’s a matter of whether you are disciplined or not.”

One user offered this formula: “Investing + saving + Start early = Retire early.”

Pessimism Or Preparation

Many Singaporeans, however, have not started to plan for retirement though they profess it is a goal. A recent survey of more than 500 fully-employed Singaporeans aged between 35 and 55 revealed that 60% of Singaporeans want to retire by the time they reach 60, but only 40% have made, or intend to make, a retirement plan.

More than half of the respondents fear they will retirement savings not last long enough and run out, and around 70% believe they are “very likely” to turn to part-time employment when they retire.

Simply being pessimistic about the future, however, will do nothing to change it. Ultimately, as some posters recognise, being able to retire at 60 (or when you want) will depend on how you handle your situation now. The higher your income and the lower your household and other expenses, then the more room to save. The earlier you start to prepare and plan, the earlier you can retire.

Moor is a rare form of nutrient-rich peat created by the gradual transformation of herbs, plants & flowers which have been permanently submerged under water or underground.

Free from the decaying effects of oxygen and in the correct climatic and biological conditions, the plant matter undergoes a ‘ripening’ transformation process over thousands of years to produce a homogeneous dark substance called Moor.

During this ‘ripening’ process, all the substances within the plants are retained in the Moor, resulting in a herbal complex with wonderful therapeutic properties. For the past 60 years, a wealth of clinical studies conducted on Moor therapy has confirmed that Moor does posses a wide range of beneficial properties. In fact, hundreds of European physicians now use and recommend Moor treatments.

Therapeutic Properties of Moor revealed from research conducted throughout Europe over the past 50 years. :

* Bio-Available

(Easily absorbed by the body) The substances present are in colloidal and bivalent form, thus they are small enough to be easily absorbed by the system.

* Antiseptic

The moor contains lignin and bitumen, both of which contains high proportions of phenol substances and these acts as natural antiseptic

* Detoxifying

The high proportion of humic acid and other humus substances enables the moor to both draw and absorb toxic substances trapped in the tissues. Detoxification is widely recognized as an important component of health care maintenance and anti-aging.

* Anti-Inflammatory

Moor has consistently been found to exert an anti-inflammatory effect on irritated or inflamed tissues.

* Ion-Exchanging

The presence of humic acids also causes an exchange reaction in which harmful positive ions in the tissues are replaced by revitalizing negative ions present within the moor.

The Moor has been clinically tested and found to be naturally hypoallergenic and to be able to harmonize with and benefit any skin type, eliminating the need for many different types of creams.
